I unplugged my battery and now my radio says error or code (?). can someone help me?
I unplugged my battery cables to my car yesterday to clean the battery and when i plugged the battery back in and turned on my car, the radio said code on it. so i started to mess with it and i started to make it say code 1, code 2, code 3, code 4, and i think there was a code 5 a finally a 6. And then the radio just started to read error on it and now i can't do anything with my radio. why is this?. i can't listen to music, it won't tell time. it won't do anything!. i just thought that maybe one of you guys would know whats up..can you help me?
In your glove box (if your lucky) you will find a card that has the code printed on it. It may also be written in your owner's manual. If you cannot find this code then you can contact honda, give them your vin number and serial number and they will look it up for you. To get the "error" to reset you just need to wait about an hour or you can unplug the headunit from your battery again. If you search around on here then you can find a website that if you enter your vin then if will come up with alot of good information including your code.

thats correct. you'll probably have to disconnect the battery again to clear the radio memory since you maxed out the number of times that you could enter the wrong code. when you purchased the car, the dealer, or the person you bought it from should have given you a credit-card sized document with your radio code on it. this is an anti-theft measure to make sure that no one but the owner of the car can use the factory radio. If you don't have this information, contact your dealer.
