My guess is most probably wrong because of the hint you said but... from the looks of the second picture, the 1966 Studebaker Lark Cruiser came to mind, the last year in which it was produced.

It's a very beautiful 2005 Marcos TSO GT2. I love the newer version more, though... 2007 Marcos TSO GTC.
New car: You can say this is a modified car... it's base car is either a luxury coupe or a luxury sports coupe. That should be enough for those who know about cars.
