i want to get a 5 speed car, just wondering if the insurance payment will be less than automatic

Someone in another thread said so but I can't imagine why - except the car price is cheaper w/o an auto tranny.

If I were an insurance company I would anticipate the mods and quote higher for a manual shift.

I think it could be...Some people have said before that you pay more attention to whats going on when your driving with a manual...It could be BS...but who knows!!!

Theres only one way to find out. Call your insurance comany. I would think it wouldnt matter, most of the time they look for things like, special modifactions, engine size and age group.
