iv been on sk2 msg boards, and i just cant find any that have rims with staggered fittment and a nice size lip on em

im starting to wonder if the offset of s2k's doesnt allow a dish?

im thinkin of getting an s2k, but i want to get rims with a nice dish on em...but i cant find what im lookin for...other then widebody's. 5000 points for whoever posts an 2sk NON-widebody with some fat dished rims.

those kinds of rims are more for show. the S2k is not a show car. that'd be like a surgeon using a butter knife to perform surgery.
that's another major reason as well.
The S2k is the wrong kind of car for you then.

so no s2k owners want show rims on their car? thats funny...becuase iv found PLENTY of cars with 19" volks, racing harts, and work wheels...those rims usually have big lips on them, but just not on the s2k's iv seen.

plz dont tell me which car is and isnt right for me, jsut because i want a lip on my wheels. i wasnt aware you were an authority on who can own which cars? i also wasnt aware that if i get an s2k i have to make ONLY performance mods.

anyways...still looking for said pics...

a nice lip will work on an s2000, but a dish is going to far. you'll need a 350z, vette, or 996 turbo for big dishes

you've found "plenty" of S2k's with those rims on them, however, you're telling us you can't find any with those rims on them? or are you saying you've seen plenty of other cars with those rims on them, but not S2k's. either way, this sentence makes ZERO sense. and no, most S2k owner's won't put "show" rims on their car. at least not owner's who realize that big heavy rims are stupid on a car that was made to handle and carve canyon roads.

do some people show their S2k's? yeah. and most often, their cars look like crap/rice and most people on the S2k forums generally frown upon such "taste".
Plenty of S2k's have cosmetics mods to make the car a bit more unique or dress up the appearance to stand out a bit. however, they should be tasteful and not ricey. however, they DONT put mods on the car that are going to HURT the performance. That's rice.

you're looking for pics of something, and wondering why you're not finding them. i'm telling you why you're not finding them. like i said, this isn't a show car. it's a performance car, made for track, curves, etc. it's a well balanced and well rounded roadster. someone who buys the car cuz they wanna put a big wing, heavy rims, some over sized body kit is buying the car for the wrong reason. but hey, it's your dollar. just don't expect any love from s2ki

what about the car that was posted in this thread? the red one? is that rice? looks pretty dope to me. adding a lip on those rims suddenly makes it rice? who said i want a huge wing? i just like a polished lip on my rims...why are you giving me such a hard time for that? since when is a lip rice? since when does having a lip on the car take away from performance? most of ALL the volks have big lips on them, and volks are lightweight rims...so what are you talking about??

i dont want a wing on my car. i dont want BIG HEAVY rims...i just want a lip. ya know what else i dont want? approval from a msg board like s2ki...im finding plenty of s2k's with volk rims, just none with a lip on them, like i normally see in those rims. i dont want a show car, i simply want...rims with a lip on them.

i dont think u can do it with out the wide body or a small flare. u'd have to really work with back spacing and wheel size to make it work, even if u id figure it out it wouldnt look right. get a 350 z they are made for dish.

those arent really dip dish. Deep dish is more like 0 offset. They have the lip, which is nice.... except for the last 2 pics.

i kind of like the step lip on the mesh rims there....but my fav is the white s2k with the cf hood and the gunmetal rims...i wish i knew what kind of rims those were. hotness

i guess i was using the wrong terminology when i said "deep dish". i just meant rims with a big lip

exactly. you're right, there's no rice in those pics because they aren't "deep dish". They just have a bit of a lip on them. that's it. deep dish is the kinda crap you see on low rider trucks.
