Super Street Magazine

anybody remeber when Super Street used to be the coolest magazine out.
now its all bull$hit. nothing but a bunch of FUGLY (computer edited) models (dont get me wrong im a guy), the same theme, over and over and over and over again.
no new and interesting articles. by the time they get all the topics, they're already old.
ads, ads, ads. and all the ads are for STOOOOPID products like LED EXHAUSTS????? WTF is that? who would put that $hit on their car?
they tried to change with the game, and didnt realize that the game went down the drain when the name APC appeared on the market. APC, tuned by Matrix, and all that universal crap riced everything out.

universal
APC
Super Street

if i haden't been so impulsive and renewed for 2 years, i would never renew again.

back to turbo & hiTech for me.

I think you make a pretty good point. Just like alot of other things (i.e. TV stations, radio stations, etc.)...sometimes they come superflous with ads and don't keep themselves grounded in what really made them a true magazine/station.

they just care about making money.
i swear to you, import racing will never be what it used to be and all because of mass production (*cough* APC, *cough*cough* universal).

pisses me off that import racing has lost its underground image, and gained a new "hey look at that homo" image.

lets get evryone to jump on the racing bandwagon

Superstreet has a good article every once in a while. I prefer Honda Tuning and SCC.

haha Super Street is terrible...even the cars in it are ugly. They don't know anything about engines..or any tech stuff. Sports Compact is so much better.

turbo is still the best. SCC comes in a very close second.

SCC (sport compact car magazine for the noobs) is marketed to the more serious racer, with more dyno charts and less silicone boob jobs... but there are quite a few people that just want to see how they made mom's accord look really fast and have a airbrushed wannabe supermodel sit on it. They read SS. I'd rather have the more in-depth articles and better cars like in SCC. I'll take my rice for dinner and my sex on TV...

by the way, SCC and SS are both made by the same company

everybody stop crying, there's still lots of interesting things going on under the cover of SS, you just have to search a little harder, and who gives a sh*t about what other's are doing to thier cars, or the "stupid" products out there, WTF, you don't have to buy any of them, oh godfather of the import scene, just do your own thing and stop crying, anything made for the import market is good, it means it's thriving, and even though you might not like alot of the products, alot of the products you do like came out because of the stuff you don't like, maybe that's a little confusing, but the point is, the more money companies make, the more they can put into R&D, and the more money the industry can make will mean that more companies will start popping up, pls fill in the blanks about what happens when that happens, my fingers are sore........what iam trying to say is that with the expantion of anything, you're going to get pockets of things that some people won't like, but you gotta look at the upside (i tried to explain it above).....so stop crying, go build your dream car, and stop bugging other people who are trying to build thiers, just cause you don't like "led mufflers".......

i used to think that s.s. was a great mag now all they do is find hot looking cars and say oh its fast even though it looks like a pieace of crap. s.c.c. and ss weren't always on the same production company it wasn't untill recetly that primemedia got a hold of the mag that it turned to crap (and i'm sure that the sell out to apc did something too) but its all cool cause i just cancelled my subcribtion to ss and renewes my subsciption to scc loved the super street car challange especially what mcintyre did with his twinengine twintranny tiburon even thought i don't like the car lets let all who just want fake women and crappy cars read ss i'll stick to turbo i.t. (import tuner for those of you who don't know), scc and honda tunning atleast they have some real dyi tech stuff not like ss who always has someone do it for them

i actually like super street. They have more JDM cars than any other US import magazine. Turbo and Sport Compact Car are way too bland. I'd rather just pick up an issue of honda tuning and get all the articles that pertain to honda from both the magazines. I subscribe to import tuner and i'm getting sick of seeing the ricey-ist cars in their. I think i'll subscribe to super street once the import tuner subscription runs out.

I agree with 1973. Quit your bit(hin and just don't buy it. Super Street isn't that bad of a magazine. I agree that scc is better though. Super Street is just moving with the industry. What else would they do, just say "let's go bankrupt so we don't make people mad". They are making tons of money. Do you like money?? Exactly.

I hear ya soch, my new mag for now is performance auto and sound's all imports mixed with some sweet A/V stuff. It has so many articles I couldn't believe it - specially after reading Super Street the last little while - which is all ads with like 4 or 5 articles. Plus I got a years subscription at the auto show for $14 bucks CAD - that's like 9bones US!

although I admit I've never really read Super Street, Sport Compact Car is a great mag.... also, now that Honda Tuning is an actual magazine (and not just an SCC special issue), it's only going to get better and better.... now THAT is (or will be) the best magazine for our cars at least....
