Does anyone know????
Can it be possible to put out 160 hp with the newer 1.7 liter 4cyl engine since the old SI's had 1.6 liter 4cyl in them and put 160? without any mods just like tuning or something?

uh the new civic engines only put out 130, and that more like 100 at the wheels. no way to gain anything unless you put on a turbo

well yeah i know that but how can you have a 1.6 liter that puts out 160 hp then get a 1.7 liter that puts out like 120 it doesnt make sense

the SI has a completely different engine. B series, and its a DOHC with real vtec, not a SOHC like the D17.

Damn your right i didnt even think about that. stupid single cams i guess i'll just have to get a new engine or somethin when we get the car

simple, Honda B-series engines, DOHC, VTEC, high compression, high revving, not so fuel economical.... basically what Honda D-series is NOT. D-series = basic car needs. B-series = car enthusiast needs
