help
ok so i'm planning on get the dent on my car fixed. do i have to clean the car first before i bring it to the shop or do i just bring it in as it is. i mean i was wondering if i have to clean it first because what if they paint it with the dirt and stuff on the surface??? do they clean the car before they paint it? also, what do i need to tell them to do paint/body wise? just base, paint and clearcoat right? i'm worried that if they paint the quarter panel it won't be as glossy and as smooth as the original paint. man i hate this ****, my aunt fvcking hit my car. now i have to get it fixed

are they just popping it out or actually doing real body work like bondo and paint? either way no need to wash. they prep everything. and ya matching can be tricky. you can still see the spot where mine was painted between the panels but silver is hard. the paint itself will look fine, its just hard for them to color match certain colors.

i'm just more worried about the paint matching and the quality to be not as par as my paint right now. but yeh they have to pop out the dent, the body paint is not as damaged just minor scratches. but the guy quoted me $321 for everything but i doubt they would do everything he quoted me... i.e. paint whole quarter panel because he said "the dent was a little high so he needs to paint the whole quarter panel to match" that's Bullshit. i guarantee you he won't do all that, he would just paint the area but he quoted me for the whole area to be painted.
thanks Gear.

you cant just paint the area, it will look like someone took a can and started spraying on it. they have to do the whole panel if they are painting over it.
