Rep Power: 0 you should ask you insurance will it be cheaper for insurance cuz i have a 92 gsr and i paid 5000.00 with a clean record....and than i got my 2k1 civic...and i still pay the same amount.....if the difference is under 100 i think you should just stay with the 2k1 ....it is brand new....just my opinion if the differnce not to much .....don't go for it.....

Rep Power: 0 nah, the main reason the insurance on the civic is so high is cuz i got into a few accidents, wrote off 2 cars, and the last accident i got into i got sued $15,000... also since i am leasin my civic i need to have have full coverage on it, but since i am gonna fiance my integra i can just have liability, which end up being only $260 a month fer insurance... that an extra $240 i save if i get the integra, the monthly payment for the integra will be around the same... the ticketed price on the 95 integra is $15,998, but the guy said he'll give it to me for 14,500, that a good deal for a 95 integra ls? and also for gsr, my insurance will be around the same as the civic...

Rep Power: 0 Wow, $16,000 (Can) for a 7-year old LS seems pretty high--- what's the mileage on that? I guess $14.5 k is a bit better, but I think you can talk him down even more.
Imagine that a coupla more thousand will get you a brand new Civic LX. Why didn't you finance your 2k1 in the first place and get one-way insurance then?

Rep Power: 0 The guy lives in Maryland, so I'm assuming he's talking US bucks.
But ya, there's too much confusion on this site when it comes to currency differences. You always gotta specify CAN dollars to these other peeps.

Rep Power: 0 As much as i love the gen 3 teg i say keep da Civic bc, its the resale value is worth more bc its a new car, but the integra will be 3rd person owner at least.
but yah man 15000 can for a teg, is pretty pricey u should just keep lookin around dont rush yourself.
i was lookin for a teg before i decided to get the civic, even i found an 98 integra 50,000kms for only 14500 can. But yah i suggest that u buy your car from a prvate dealer bc, u can always talk guys down more than a dealership.

yo...you live in the same city as me i've been driving for about 4-5 years and i pay the same amount as you do? why is that? is it because you only pay for basic and collision? or for all?

Ok, once again, all prices he quoted is in CANADIAN dollars and all mileage is in KILOMETERS
But ya, even at $14,500 (CAN), you still have to add another grand or so to replace the rims with new alloys, like you said. So let's say $15,500 total (CAN) for the car + new rims. That seems to be a bit much for a 7 year-old Integra with close to 100,000 KM on it. And if the rims are nasty, it's a sure sign that it's been through a lotta tough winters up there. Better get it checked inside out by your mechanic.
Try to shop around some more if you can wait. If you rush your purchase, there's a greater chance you're gonna get ripped off.

Rep Power: 0 Insurance on a GSR is pretty expensive. My boyfriend has a 95 GSR and he pays just about as much as I do, and he has a clean driving record. And my insurance on my 2k1 civic is a little over $2,000/year and I haven't gotten any tickets or any accidents. Although every insurance company is different... Before he got his GSR he checked out insurance prices for an LS, I don't think it was too much less than the GSR, but not quite as bad.

you're getting spanked. Back in June of 2001, you could have gone to an Acura dealership and paid 15,988 for a brand new 2001 5 sp. Integra LS cpe. Acura was giving a 4,000 rebate off MSRP to the dealerships to get ready for the arrival of the RSX in early July. I regret waiting for my parents to help me buy my car. If I would have known my parents were gonna spend 14,000 plus tax on a civic I would have gone out and financed the integra myself. The resale on those cars is so high. but seriously, go private party. you should be able to find a 95 ls for around 10,000. For 14,500 you should be able to get 96 gs-r.
