just raced a 2001 BMW M5......
yeah, my buddy has a BMW M5, and he asked me to race him, i said sure, because i though it would be a good test for my bone stock civic, anyways he just installed a 2 stage turbo system running 15 lbs of boost, but hey i figured i still had a good shot at it, i mean he only had about 750 hp or so......anyways, he just took me off the line, i couldn't even keep up, before i hit 20 mph, he was just a small little blip, like wow civics are so slow, if had my 84 1.5 S, i bet i could have kept up to him......

well ppl do always want to go faster..since u have the $ for a bmw y not spend a little more for a custom turbo....which will make u go faster than other bmw's? or maybe they jsut in it for the bov..damn thing sounds so cool....

Rep Power: 334 oh and my cousin bought a BMW M Coupe back in August.. had the car for like 6 monthz.. only drove it for 2 monthz.. it was in the shop for 4 monthz.. yeah.. he startin to think bmw's are crap.. and this wasnt his first one.. he had the M3 sedan too..

Rep Power: 0 IMO BMW and Mitsubishi are in the same boat as far as what I've heard of their reputations... when you buy a bmw or a mitsubishi it's either gonna be a POS or you won't have ANY problems with it until it starts to get into 6 digit mileage. my best friend's boyfriend has worked in numerous shops and dealerships and back in august when i was considering different cars to buy, it ended up being between some 4 year old BMW 3-series convertible with lotsa miles on it that i had found, and a 2k1 civic. her boyfriend told me BMW's are always always always in the shop and they are so expensive to fix. and honda's as we all know are among the least frequent shop-goers.
yet my ex had a 2k1 bmw 3-series manual and he never had a single problem with it. that thing coulda beat the pants off of me when we used to race to school but due to morning parkway traffic and my exceptional driving skills, i managed to hold my own and keep up. he loved his BMW, as far as i know... it's like the eclipse. half the people who get one HATE it, and have ridiculous, expensive problems from the start, and others love their eclipse and can't imagine a better deal on a sports car. with some car companies you just never know which extreme you're going to get.
