Is the acura rsx fast?? (not the type -s, just the reg rsx)
depends what you consider fast. Its still a high revving four banger with what like 150ish hp? (forgot the actual stats)
its okay but the rsx's are so over done I wouldn't bother getting them. mind you the new seats in them are very comfortable.
Would more then likly be cheaper for you to drop a Type S motor in your current vic

They're fun little cars, when hitting v-tec, though not fast by my standards. I consider 'fast' anything that does the 1/4 in less than 13 secs.
I also love the seats and the smooth transmission.

I dont know why some of you people talk **** and say that a d17 cant take a base model rsx... A stock d17 cannot take a base model rsx but a modded d17 vs a stock base rsx... you do the math. Its no differant from a d17 smoking an 02 si. Keep in mind I have Header back exhaust, AEM V2 and lastly the VAFC2. You can say what you want but those cars are not what they are cracked up to be. BTW they have no high cam so the only vtec they have is for economy (it's a vtec to be ashamed of not admire)... Only the RSX k20A2, K20A - R, and the K24A2 have high cam. I never ran my vic down the 1320 so i dunno what it runs but i do know that i run with my friends 02 SI and for a while was beating my friends unmodded 92 GS-r.
And I did beat some poser in a base RSX over the weekend.

160hp...its a k20a3 motor.
edit: my fault, its 155hp with the new SAE ratings.
reading is key.

the base is a slight upgrade from a D17 but the type -s is a huge difference I know because I drive one now and love every minute of it

well... it depends
its pretty fast when you slap on a cybernation, rev hard, or greddy turbo kit... then throw kpro on the ecu from hondata and then get it dyno-tuned...
you'll beat modded type-s's and you'll even beat k20a's (DC5 type-r motors)
k20a3's have low compression and are ideal for boost...
but k20a3's stock... ehh... good gas mileage?

That was fun! The base RSX and Civic SI share alot of parts.
I'll feel better with the SI because its the highest model Civic.
I'll feel bitter with the base RSX because its the lower model RSX.
Both are basically the same yet I'll feel that way.
I'm sure that's alot of people feel the same way.
