im starting to look for a different car, just wondering whats your guys' opinions on the is300 and the type s. and which one would u guys prefer. thx

I think you're going to wind up getting the TypeS getting a majority of the votes, along with posts that contain phrases like "boost it" and then list a few aftermarket suppliers.

I'd be inclined to agree, but I really like the RWD, refinement (I6s are smoooth) and the suspension on the IS vs the TypeS. My $0.02.

depends on the year...the IS300 with the 2jz is freakin fast as hell when twin turbo'd...along with the 5spd...but than again its not as moddable as the type s...unless u can get jdm altezza parts

the IS300 is a WAY better choice. 100% IS300. first off its a luxury car so the ride is smoothe as hell, no road noise, and everything is rattle free. It also has more power ( more weight also) but it has an awesome RWD setup with an inline 6 (alot more potential than a 4 cylinder) and lastly, its a frickin Lexus.

Insurance is very expensive for the is300 (most for any car under 50k i read), that said it's more luxurious in my book, has 4 doors, and rwd. The type-s might a bit faster (especially than the auto is) but the IS is pretty quick. The IS has the potential to be very fast, but not with bolt-ons and the turbo route is an expensive one.

I currently have a base rsx and contemplating getting a type-s or a is300 in a few months too and right now if I save up enough I;m leaning towards an is300.

If youre able to find a used 5 speed IS300, I would choose that IS. 2JZ-GE, rear wheel drive, more space, more doors, and more boost friendly!

IS 300 is better, but it is sedan, so ultimatly feel different compare to a coupe.

Dude the IS300's interior sucks! It just looks like a crappy copy of a VW interior. The RSX is a nicer version of the Civic's interior, but at least it flows and looks nice.

Based on that alone, I'd have to get the RSX-S (even though I do like the RWD/I6 combination.)

Consider a TSX or TL maybe?

Looking at the pic, the RSX interior kinda looks cheap. I would chose the IS300 if you got bored of FWD cars and want a sedan.

once again type-s also if your age falls between the ages of 16 and 23 your insurance will SUCK with the money you spend on insurance for an is you could be partially modding you type-s, another thing the IS is a nice @ss car BUT if you think about it how many more luxuries does an IS have compared to a type-s? the type-s has leather seats too. just look at the picture above^^^^ its obvious which one looks better........TYPE-S all the way!!!!!!!!! im done here man, good luck on the chioce, hope you make the right one. Post pics when you get your ride.

That pic of the interiors really didnt help the IS300 at all. The Type-S looks sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than the IS when it comes to the interior.

I love the way everything looks about the type-s and that's what I would pick. Even if I had to leave both of them stock I would still pick the Acura
