For those who are lowered...
Use the OEM jack to life the car up a little bit then slip in the bigger jack.
This should work for 90% of lowered cars who can't fit a jack under the car.

When I was 16 and first started driving, I got a flat on my camaro. It was my baby, I saved all my paychecks for a year to pay cash for it. I didn't know where to jack it up so I had my mom's b/f do it and HE put the jack in the wrong place. It bent up my sideskirt and under my car and it bent my fender out. I was SOOOO pissed....
ahhhhhhhhhhhahahahhahahahahhahahaha

Defending Honda until the death
"That kind of thing happens to a playa from time to time.........." If we were not so damn paranoid about the well being of our cars, the same thing could have happened to anyone on this forum. As far as our cars being "cheap" as in cheaply made or designed? The seventh gen civ, like many other cars are made to "crumple" under high stress like during a collision,or in thhis case, when you apply the weight of almost the entire car on the sheetmetal floorboard. It also "crumples" to form a barrier of metal/whatever around the passenger(s) and this "crumpling" also acts like a shock absorber during a collision.
I love my Hondas

and I hate buyer's remorse.Exactly!!! what kinda moron expects the floorboard of a car to support the weight of the car?!?!
that sucks, poor guy
hopefully that wasn't the first piece of damage done to his car, or else it would have really felt bad
i always wondered what would happen if we didn't use the jack points

LOL, that sucks...
and FYI, screw using the stock jack on a lowered car, use a peice of wood or an old rotor under the wheel to lift the car that extra half inch and use a real jack on that bish, lol. stock jack = too much work!

also when that guy was trying to jack his car up for the first time i assume he should have knocked on where he wanted to put the jack and by knocking you will know if its sturdy or not, the thing i dont get is i have an 04 and theres a spot right in the middle thats MADE for a jack head so WTF.
EDIT: wow i just noticed that silver civic already gave the wood secret away lol
