Rims & Bolt Patterns

I was wondering why Honda uses the 4 x 100 bolt pattern. There seem to be many more rim options for the 5 bolt patterns. Even the new Corolla is using 5 isn't it? Would it be possible/expensive to change the bolt pattern on our cars? What would it entail?

Actually, I think most rims are going for the universal pattern that suits 4 or 5. Anyway, If you want rims with only a 5 bolt pattern you can buy a 4 bolt 5 bolt converter for each wheel. Alot of sites have them, just look around. But be warned, these are not inexpensive. I think they go for over $100 a wheel and therefore you have to buy 4 of them. Correct me if im wrong, but thats what i think is right.
