Downshifting to second from third @ redline in a K20C is a surefire way to kill it...
A side note - pause the video right when the revs are the highest, right before the engine goes...look at the tach...look at how far it is past the redline....10K-11K RPMs maybe?

Rep Power: 0 To anwser about the revlimiter, it can't do anything. That only keeps you from gassing the engine past red. If you dump the clutch while the car is moving to fast for a gear, it will try to do that RPM...until the engine seizes. I think this is the problem that alot of the Celica owners are having since the posts are very thin in the shift pattern. Easy for a retard to downshift wrong.
