Autobody Refinishing Question --- Need Help

Hey Guys

I just wanted to ask for the help of all those bodymen out there. I should be getting my car back this week after the nice roll over I did with it and due to the accident and the great job the tow truck driver did (NOT!!!!!!!!!), I have to have the whole car painted, now I was wondering if there is something I should be looking for in the quality of the work when I get it back. I have asked some people and they said things like the finish, dust, runs, drips, "fisheye", door hinges and areas like that. But is there anything else I should be looking for. I have it at the local Chevrolet dealer, as my Honda dealer doesnt do body work, and they have a "Bake" paint booth and warrent their work for life so that is a bouns, but I just wanted to know what others that have more knowledge of this kind of thing.

Thanks for the help in advance.

man, sorry to hear that, can you tell me if they replaced your top around the sunroof as the sunroof itself looks alright, cause someone dented all the corners on my sunroof, apparently trying to break into my car. I might have to get the whole thing replaced, or something.

Lots of -holes out there in thie world!

ps- I'd like to put four dents in his/her face!!

Hey black

That sucks that they did that to your car man, but yeah they had to replace the whole roof on it because it was just too crushed as you can see from the photos on the site. I am not sure the exact cost of the new roof, but if you send me a PM I will look and tell you. When they replaced my roof they just pulled back the black strips on the top of the edges and then drilled out the welds and put the new one in and welded it back in. (I never knew how they did it.)

But I am not sure if they can get the dents out of yours man, that sucks, but take it in and see what one of your local body shops say.
