who says the S2000 can't drive in snow?
The S2000 does great in snow (at least compared to other 2-wheel drive cars, FWD or RWD). The key is to have the proper tires. Personally, I have tried both blizzaks and nokians. IMO, the nokian RSi (Hakkapeliitta) surpass anything to date that I've driven on snow. http://www.nokiantyres.com/passenger...KAPELIITTA+RSi
We got pounded here in West Bend today (over 18 inches they are saying) and the plows were nowhere to be seen. I drove home following traffic on the freeway going 10-15mph through 6 inches of snow, ice, and drifts as high as 3 feet. There were cars and semis all over in the ditch (in my 5 miles on the freeway there were about 9 accidents/spinouts).
Here's the beast snug in the garage. notice the brand new summer tires on the right.:

mmmmmm snow.....

Here's the little beads of snow that the tires kick up from the grooves they have. Even when I'd get "stuck" it'd only be for a few seconds, until the tires chewed through enough snow to get traction.

the nokian tires are what is used by many people here in wisconsin who race their cars on the ice (frozen lakes are fun). the winners of those races always have nokian tires. hehe

I don't miss snow....figures the entire time I lived with it my car was fully modded and beautiful. Now I live where it never snows and I'm virtually stock but for my drop...bleh..lol
its funny i live in Alberta, Canada, there should be lots of snow here but there aint. The snow has been absent this year. It acutually just started getting cold here this week too, we are sitting at -30, but up until this week we been averaging like 0 degree temputure and up. It snowed a little bit too and i drive a 05 mustang gt which is rwd, and when ever your tire spin the traction control kicks in stops giving power to the wheels spining and you center back out. From what i have driven so far this year my car hasnt been too bad at all, just got to be smart and drive safe when roads are slick and not be punching it around corners.

it's been below zero here several times. it's never cracked, nor have i ever had a problem. i've never heard of CF cracking in the cold. most CF or carbon/kevlar parts are made to withstand up to -40 F temps or lower.
