it's OK.

rumor has it that it would be named 4 series coupe. BMW is said to be changing naming convention on their models. all sedans would be odd series 3,5,7, and it's coupe counterpart would be even +1 of it's sedan counterpart. hence 3 series sedan would have 4 series coupe counterpart. hell i didn't even know that the 6 series coupe is the same as the 5 series. i just found that out and read about it. i've always thought the 6 series is the coupe version of the 7 series. well if we follow the naming convention then if 7 series bring out it's coupe then it should be the 8 series.

I've been waiting for this car for about a year now. Not really for this car, but so I can get an E46 coupe for a little cheaper. The E46 preMMC coupe is the best looking 3 series, imo. Hopefully I can find an 01-02 330ci for around 20k, if not a 328ci will do.

i don't know much about car codes (e36, e46 etc), but i think the previous gen 3 coupe with the LED red/clear tails and projector heads are HOT. i need to find the picture.

the e46 is the previous 01-05 design before the redesign. I like the e46 m3 the best.

i personally prefer these to be the 3/4 coupe, convertible. although this might be the m3 coupe.

The E46 sedan was from 99-05, the coupes came a year later 00-06. I guess this is the new cycle for BMW. The MMC also came later for the coupes. MMC for the sedan was 02 and was 04 for the coupe. The M3 didn't go through a MMC, so it looks just like the 00-03 E46 coupes.

It will probably be called the 4.
And there will be no more M3..it will be the new M4. (Or so i friend from a BMW dealership told me)
I'd prefer the 4 door though.

M4 sounds 1 degree gayer... I'm sorry. M3 just sounded so much better.

If they do end up calling the coupe the 4-series, I think it would get compared more to A4's and S4's... especially the M4.

I heard that they decided not to use the 4series or 2series moniker for the 3series or 1series coupes, respectively.

they had pictures of the next m3 in the magaizine CAR, i think its a british magaizine. anyway, the next m3 is to be called m3 still and i believe that they will still call them 3 series coupes. apparently they considered using 4 series but they wont. the next m3, in addition, will be available in a coupe and 4door but not in a convertible because the 3 series is going to hard top convertibles and that would be too heavy. also, there will be a lightwieght csl version of the m3.
