hondas V8 concept
i heard about that Mugen built legend and i thought it was a rumor till i heard it mentioned again.
4 liter v8 with 590 hp. that is amazing. thats better hp/displacement than the s2k.

Rep Power: 0 I don't think this is a V8. However it is one of Mugens Honda Legends..and its HOT.
Edit: looks like somebody had posted the real one above ^^ But enjoy this black one..mmmm..HOTNESS indeed. I love the new Acura RLs..

I still love looking at that V8 Legend. Honda should put that motor in a RL and call it the RL Legend, specifying that it has a V8 built by Mugen. I heart the Legend.

Man, I don't think it'd be right if they brought it an Acura with some "strange" Mugen name. Not everyone knows about this and the people who buy the RL are an example. Would your grandfather know what Mugen was? I don't think so...
.But still, it would be an awesome job, at last internationalizing the Mugen brand... they could start considering making parts for us coupes!
Heh...By the way, anyone have an idea which color is the MAX painted? Is it Milano, Rallye or some other kind of Honda red?

BTW, just saw this... "When you street race, you risk $1000 fine, 90 days jail, 6 month license suspension, and impounded car minimum penalties!"
Here in Puerto Rico, if you street race you get a $3000 fine, 6 month license suspension and the car gets impounded. If you get caught a second time, the fine is $3000-$5000, lifetime license suspension and some months of jail (don't know them exaclty and not really sure about them

Well, whatever the origin and purpose of the engine, it's much needed -- every competitor just short of Suzuki and Kia have a V8. For some reason Honda has been very stubborn about developing one for street use.

normal v8s that are NA aren't likely to put up that much torque at 4.0 liters.

I remember about 15 years ago Mugen was building Formula 1 engines. They were making about 650-700 hp out of 3.5L reace angine 15 years ago.
Now Mugen makes 600hp out of 4L on a street engine. This is what I call progress.
