ROBBERY

sorry in advanced for the long story.

I went to visit a couple of friends that work at an Auto Part Store today cuz I had a couple of hours to kill
before work.
So as I was about to leave one of my friends asks me if I can do him a favor and go down to KFC (Located about 1/4 of a mile away) and get him some lunch.
So as I'm at KFC some guy comes in and robs the place. he only talks to the manager and says he has a gun. no one noticed what was happening til it already had happened (The manager seemed calm) and when I looked behind me the manager was just talking to the guy.(I was filling up a couple of cokes in the soda machine). Then the guy says "I said I want all of it" the manager replied with "You have all of it" and the guy books it out the door. Another customer asked the manager if he had just been robbed and the manager said "yes". I pulled out my cell and dial "911". (I'm so brave... j/k) and the other customer ran out after the thief.
First of all it wasn't all that much money: there's no way I'm getting shot over a couple hundred dollarsSecondly it wasn't my money: so there's no way I'm getting shot over a couple of hundred dollars that doesn't belong to me). and its not that I was affraid of the guy (I could of taken him easy) its the gun that I was affraid of

the thief gets into a cab (according to what to girls that were sitting by the door said).
the KFC staff lock everyone in and we wait for the police. this lady cop comes up to the door. I let her in and then we tell her what happened. I then ask if I can leave. I go back to the Auto Part Store were I find a couple of police cars. (so I'm thinking that they caught the guy). Nope! the guy robbed the Auto Part Store after he robbed KFC. well to make a long story short. police caught the guy about 10 miles away. and one of my friends from the Auto Store and myself get driven down to Identify the punk and his girlfriend (who waited in the cab for him so therefore is an accomplice to the crime.

Now what is the lesson of the day.
don't take sh*t that don't belong to you its called stealling and the cops will get you.
at least they caught this guy and girl. and they were far away!

sorry again I just had to vent.

Man that's just stupid, you don't even have a get away car. A cab was his getaway car. It seems that criminals are just getting dumber and dumber.

Ah, guns suck. It could get into the wrong hands cuz you don't know what you're dealing with. You may find that you piece is missing and in their possession... then what do you do? I'd use my head, cuz you can only do one thing with a gun... shoot. What if you shot the wrong person? What if it provoked someone to try to take over the situation by taking a hostage with a knife? You've got another problem. ((*!opinion!*))

Oh well, it ended the way it deserved to end. I'm hungry... I want some KFC... (Honey/Spicy BBQ Wings...)

i was worried today at work. this guy comes in, not looking at anybody, just staring out the window across the street. in his hand he had a cell phone with the antenna out, and his finger was on the "SEND" button. he looked all nervous and anxious. he started glancing at his watch and it seemed like he was waiting for a bomb to explode or something. but seeing as i'm paranoid, and i just saw that movie Collateral Damage (i think that's how it's spelled), where that happens a couple times thoughout the movie, it could have just been me. but then when he put away his phone and walked out, i asked a couple other people there if they noticed the guy, and my manager said he was about to call the police on him. he was a very suspicious person.

SoNiCcIvIc - those points are all valid, it is a big liability/responsibilty to carry a gun. But, when the feces hits the air oscillator, and you have a gun pointed at you or a loved one, would you want a gun then, or not have one? There is only one rule to participate in a gunfight, one must have a gun. If one does not have a gun, one should not participate in a gun fight.

A gun is like a fire extinguisher, it's useless most of time, until you need it, and then you need it immediately. Seat belts are the same way, useless unless you get in a wreck.
