Ok...I need a argument settled.....
This guy that lives here in KC is trying to tell me that civics can gooo soo fast if they have alot of stuff in them like cai, exhaust..ect....I said ya..u could prob only get like 145 hp max becasue that stuff doesnt get u much.......and he said...well it goes really fast because the back seat is taken out....and he has a cf wing(mmmay...ya that makes u got alot faster)........so question is....can a civic be really fast....or just a little faster with added things?

reminds me of a guy i used to work with..he wanted a wing for his hard tonneau cover on his dodge ram cause he said that it would help on gas mileage on the express way buy keeping his rear end down...like his rear was going to slide all over or something..now if he would of just said cause i like the way they look on my truck i would of understood............
anyway as far as making a civic fast..i mean real fast...you are really going to have to get into the interior of the engine plus add som nitrous plus lose every bit of weight....i can beat a 4.3l s-10 like i used to have with my civic and that is all i care about

Take the back seat out and strap a jet engine into its place!

that's not going make much of a difference the lighter the car the better but the backseat dun't mean shiet...if he did sum engine werk and shiet he and he wanted to race he would get rid of the uncessary stuff such as the extra seats , donut, radiator, ect ect...but i highly doubt that he's up to that extent, and cold air and exhaust will not give u that much HP increase and the the wing i dun't think so unless he thinks he 's a drag racer and the wing is made to give force ot the rear end for racing so tell him he sucks and when he gets a supercharger or turbo and shiet like that to start talking shiet cuz a exhaust and CAI ain't gonna cut it

Yeah, Civic's CAN go sooooo fast...
That's all him and anyone else CAN SAY. Hell I'll say it too. Exhaust, headers, CAI will boost your Civic nicely. Anyone believe me? ::hears that You Are An Idiot theme from Off Topic:: Oh, not for me! I don't believe that sh't!

didn't he hear? civics are fast cars as long as they have some stickers on them. even if it's not an Si, if they put an Si sticker on for instance, the sticker will make the civic go faster. just tell him to visit a riceboy for further demonstration....he sounds stupid enough, i bet he'd believe it.
No really Insan wasn't kidding! You can get almost 175 hp out of these engines without sprayin'! My friend has a new civic alot faster than mine might I add! He's got exhuast, intake, headers, and port and polish He's got 171 hp, we had it tested on dyno just to make sure! Conclusion if you got da money these cars fly! Don't give up on the Civics so soon they have only been out a year and a half or so! And the fact that it a totally redesigned engine doesnt help that after market people any! They have to shift gears and make all new stuff! Be patient it will come!

i believe that they won't give on the 2001 civic
it's their number one seller on the aftermarket i think (civic's in general)
i think in due time we can make it to 200
wit a turbo of course, or some type of forced induction

Yes these cars can go fast. If you put enough money and time into it *duh* that pretty much goes for any car. For ex....buy an old as fu(k corolla and put in a supra motor (yes ive seen it done...but there's not firewall)...and you will be flying. But you know...I lways figure the more HP you START out with...the more you END up with.

Believe it or not, once a car gets up around 140mph or more depending on the car, the back end DOES start to lift. Maybe not so much on a Dodge Ram, but on a civic or other car, it will. And the back end lifting while you are going like 150mph is scary as hell. I've had it happen in my car around 160mph and it was scary.... like whoa.... I need a nice spoiler now. lol.
