Rep Power: 0 Go buy a liter bike and ditch the Civic I think even 600cc bikes can do 10s nowadays, try one of those.
In all seriousness though, traction would become a major concern as well as weight, you'd have to lighten the car setup suspension to accomodate. Generating power, ultimately, is probably the easiest part.

We have companies like greddy in the US and people still overnight parts from japan? Hope not unless its stuff like mugen and spoon parts.
Anyway I know this is all a joke so dismiss this post.
In a 7th gen civic to hit 10s though...
K20 swap, turbo to well over 500hp, slicks, some serious suspension tuning and good driving.

S2000 is NOT a great car for getting in the 10s.
S2000 IS the best all around sports car according to Top Gear's survey though.
So if you want the best possible sports car for the money, S2000.
If you want a 10 second car... get something else.

Rep Power: 278 guys this in no way was about getting a vic into the 10's it was about a stupid claim that crazy j made about bolting on a nitrous kit in his vq35 swapped sentra and running 10's. that was his claim i shot him down by telling him its not possible. he says stock motor with nitrous and slicks and he sees a 10 in the near future. i say bull shyte. it is possible for a car with under 650hp to hit 10's but it takes a butt load of weight loss and better traction that he will have. for a 2300 lb hb it takes about 550-600whp to break a 10. now with a car that weighs more and makes about 250whp it would take a very large NOS shot ti bring that car anywhere near the 10's. that is my point. i dont see a heavier car with less hp running the same times as a lighter car with twice the hp.

Rep Power: 276 Ummm easy as hell, mustang 5.0, stroker kit, blower, gears, suspension, and drag radials. Hate to say it, but v8s and RWD are the cheapest, easiest way to dip into the 10s. FWD 10s is just retarded. You are going to spend way more and get no traction in every day driving.
