Its registered and insured as a "grey market vehicle" much like a kit car would be. In this case that just means that its made for use in another country but meets all safety and emission requirments for the US, usually just 49 states though. Its really not that big of a deal and happens all the time.

You can drive any rh drive car in the U.S. it just has to be registered and go through all the test to make it U.S. legal such as safety stuff like the right type of window, crash test and stuff like that. Doesn't matter if it's rh or lh just as long as it has gonna through the tests and inspections.

I clearly remember these EXACT pics on an ebay auction a while ago. Anyone else? Seems fishy unless he bought it before.

Wouldn't it be a real safety issue? I.E. you're driving one a two-opposite lane road and you want to pass somebody on your left. Normally you'd peak out and see if there is no oncoming cars. But with a rh you wouldn't be able to see unless you sticked out a good half or more of the car.
That is why I assumed it's not legally allowed.

I thought i saw this auction a couple months back.

anyways, that's hot! MAD JAYDEE-EM yo!!

Yeah, as long as the car meets US vehicle safety standards, it can be street legal even if it's RHD. There's a few R33's registered down here, all RHD's.

why not just go on the shoulder a little and look ahead of the car in front. same concept as with a lh and lookin ahead, just backwards
