2k1 Si for a 2000 SiR what would you do?
Hi,
I have a 2k1 Civic Si in blue with 6000k, never winter driven and want to trade it for
Click HERE to see the mods done to my car. I'll be taking them off if I trade.
Year: 2000
Make: HONDA
Model: CIVIC
Model Detail: SIR
Price: $18,588
Mileage: 55,000 km
2 dr. coupe, 4 cyl., 160HP, VTEC, DOHC, 5 spd., fully
loaded, power sunroof, alloy wheels, rear spoiler, ABS, very
low km. Only 55,000 km., red over grey cloth.
Do you guys think I should do the trade? I haven't seen if it's bet up at all yet!
I have attached an image of the SiR for you's to check out.

I would do it, but I also wouldnt be wasting all my money on that crome crap inside the engine bay. Why dont you use that money toward a nitrous system or save up for a turbo??????
I'd do it... that is a lotta mileage, but it's acceptable IF the car's well taken care of and that shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Hm... first red Si I've seen. If you want performance - GO FOR IT.

Chrome crap? Are you talking about Vortech's Si? I don't think the stock Si comes with a chrome look under the hood, or am I just misunderstanding something?
Whenever I went to a dealer I always saw an Si/Sir 2000 civic they sell it for $18,000 For a 2 years old car it's still have an high resale value much more when you buy an brand new 2k1 EX/Si model. How much is the MSRP of the Si/Sir when they first came out?
This is the sticker off of my 1999 Si.
18000 is clearly more than it went for new. The reason its so high is because dealers know we like to trick em out and will pay to get the car.

I hope you realize that it's $18,500 CANADIAN, right? This guy's from Ottawa.
I have never seen such a low price for a 2000 SiR. Almost too good to be true... to the point of being fishy. These things almost never come down in price due to demand, and the prices I've seen are usually around $21-$22k, even for a 1999 model.
Get it checked out thoroughly, and if everything looks ok, then go for it.

I don't understand what you're trying to say here. The price he got was in CAN$. New SiR's here were going for around $24-$25k CAN.
The $18,588 CAN price he got is incredibly low, even in CANADA. If you want to work out the exchange, it's around $11,600 US... but you can't really compare prices in Canada Vs. US cuz different market situations and the exchange f*cks up realistic comparisons.

I DIDNT UNDERSTAND HE WAS ASKING IN CANADIAN DOLLARS. HE SAID 18000, SO I WAS NICE ENOUGH TO PUT UP MY STICKER TO SHOW THAT 18000US IS MORE THAN IT WENT FOR NEW.
What other languages would you like me to say that in??

easy now boys.
i agree with ronin. that price sounds fishy. i noticed that its missing the front lip??!!
likely that it was in an accident. dude fixed up the front end and was too cheap to put on the front spoiler.
hmmmm.... i dunno.

stig is right it is supposed to have that front spoiler. Make sure they give it to you and make sure that the car wasn't in a wreck...also Id try and get the stock wheels if I could
Take it easy man... We're all agreed now that the price seems way too low, but then it seemed like you were saying that the price was too high.
So yes, now I know you thought the $18588 was US. And now that we are sure it is in Canadian, and that it is missing it's front lip (good eye Astig), we are agreed that there is definitely something fishy about this car. Just trying to clear up your misunderstanding for a fellow member Pirpete so he doesn't get stiffed by the deal...
