Rep Power: 0 I don't know if anyone else has heard the news, but the actor from Malcolm in the midle (Malcolm - real name=Frankie) bought the white VW Jetta from Fast and the Furious. The kid just got his lisence and spent 100g's on that car. He said it has NOS, a GPS system, and all other kinds of mods that he doesn't know how to work....all I can say is that it must be nice.....

Rep Power: 0 Must be nice to only be sixteen and have $100,000 to spend on a car!
My opinion, why spend that much on a Jetta? Spend 20,000 on a Civic and 80,000 on ..... Man, I don't know what I'd spend it on.
Lotsa

Rep Power: 0 lowboy19--- its a jetta.. hmmm lets compare jettas to the 2001 civic even the 2000 si
the 1996 jetta glx pull 172 hp and 173 lb. ft. torque...
the 2000 civic si pulls 160 hp and 111 lb. ft. of torque...
and the new civic.. well... 127 hp and 114 torque...
looks like the OLDEST of these cars is the winner here

Rep Power: 560 Hes already got a speeding ticket in it. i read all this in the entertainment magazine at work. the real question is is does he know how to drive it right. if he dont know what half the mods do then he sure as hell dont know how to drive it right. dont get me wrong i would take the thing but i dont want it bad enough for even 61 g's. but i like my car better. someone else built the jetta, malcolm over paid for the jetta.

Rep Power: 0 The 1.8T is a turbo 4. 150/180/220 hp depending on the year and the car they come in.
The jetta we're discussing here is a 8v 2.0 It probably had 115hp when it was stock.

Rep Power: 0 Man we got some serious VW haters in this forum. Well I don't know about the Jettas or spending that much money on a Jetta, but I had an old Passat that was nice and reliable. Gave me good mpg and took almost no money for maintenance.

what are you stupid or something
oh yes it gave you good mileage, but you would spend 100g's for a vw??? WTF???? i would buy a supra and juss souped it up
or maybe import a skyline and make it smog legal, its also 100g's for that but hey its not my money but i'm entitled to my opinion
so all in all, he's juss a little wanna be rice racer that doesnt even knoe how to drive a stick and thinks he's cool cuz he has a jetta

Rep Power: 0 Man as you can see, I stated in my post that I wouldn't spend that much on a Jetta even if it was that highly modified, it's just that it sounded like a lot of people in here dislike VW's. That's all I said.

Rep Power: 0 At least we know he won't get killed driving a Porsche or a Skyline or something. A 2.0 auto VW is pretty tame.
And think about it, this isn't just *a* VW he bought, it's one for a cheesy street racing movie.
