5 axis Scion xA speedster *56k die*
Spirited Speedster: Scion SEMA concept lets you race even when it’s in park - - MARK VAUGHN - - SOurce: Autoweek
the actual speed of the 5 Axis xA Speedster is not all that great—it’s just about stock—the speed you can feel like you’re driving can be tremendous. From the driver’s seat of the Speedster you can find yourself racing at some of the greatest tracks in the world, and against some of the fastest cars ever made.
Dude, how is that possible, you ask? It’s all on TV.
Flip open the hood of the Speedster via its forward hinge and you’ll see a projector screen. The high-lumen projector is mounted behind the driver and beams Microsoft’s latest racing game, Forza, onto the underside of the opened hood. Or, for an even better experience, park the Speedster nose-up to a big white wall and leave the hood closed, projecting your Forza onto the wall like a drive-in movie, one that really lets you drive in. Crew members at 5 Axis have even blasted Forza onto a wall 40 feet wide and 60 feet away from the car.
A pair of pop-up screens also stow beneath the rear cowls, with their own sets of Xbox 360 game consoles.
The gaming possibilities are just one angle of Scion’s latest show car from 5 Axis Models, the Huntington Beach, California, company that made last year’s flaming green tC with mobile home theater, and a DJ-equipped very orange xB the year before that. Both of those, like this year’s Speedster, combined customization with electronics.
The customization on this one isn’t bad, either. What was once a staid Scion tC coupe was transformed by 5 Axis into a chop-topped open-air speedster.
“The natural break at the beltline allowed us to remove the roof entirely,” said 5 Axis’ Troy Sumitomo.
What had been normal doors were replaced with fat reinforcement beams that sit about shoulder height of the passengers. Under each beam is a big open space out of which purses, keys and important papers would surely fly if this body style ever went into production. Which, of course, it won’t

I would drive it! Nice! But how do you get in or out? There are no doors... I guess doors are over rated? Do you just go though the little hole or do a Dukes of Hazzard move? Just wondering….
That looks SICK. What do you think will happen when Scion releases a pure sports car? Will it be a new model, an upgraded TC, or an AWD Turbo xA droptop? Haha that would be piiiimp.

I saw this on Autoweek a couple of weeks back and I thought it was interesting. I love the look and all. It is still just a FWD echo powered car... it looks hot though. I would get a huge turbo for that thing and drive it like theres no tomorrow. Mini beater....
only downside to that screen is that you'd prolly burn a hole through it just driving to the gas station...
and it does suck on speed, all they did was an I/H/E combo...there was a feature on it in Import Tuner/Super Street (?? on of them, i subscribe to both) this month

hafta say thats pretty sick...all they need to do now is sync the steering wheel, pedals and shifter to a video game and your set. Have it so that when the car is off you can use the pedals and **** to play racing games...that would be dirty.
