Rep Power: 0 Cost of new/rebuilt automatic transmission
From reading some post on here, it seems some have had problems with their automatic transmission.
I have an '01 with 125k miles on it. I haven't had any problems, but just incase I do, about how much will a new or rebuilt tranny cost? Anyone have this done? Cost of remove and reinstall?

Rep Power: 237 i replaced my tranny about a month or two ago.. it had about ~30k miles on it.
i bought an a/t from a member on this forum for $270 (w/ shipping was $380) it had approx 40-50k miles on it
since i knew a guy who owns a shop, he replaced my tranny pretty cheap... all together, it was less than $500

Rep Power: 0 Thanks for the reply. With the lack or response, maybe these trannys aren't as bad as they're made out to be.
Did you abuse yours at all? 30k miles is horrible if you drove normal.
