I have a predicament
I don't know where to put this so I'm aware if this is the wrong spot for this post.
Ok, this sounds out of the ordinary but I want to waterproof the interior of my civic. I've looked at neoprene seat covers and marine speakers/headunit but is there anyway else I can waterproof my car? I know this sounds insane but I have a good reason, I love watersports, especially surfing.
My car always gets dirty from outdoorsy type things and well, waterproof interiors and such tend to be easier to clean.
I've already ordered a water resistant subwoofer/amp but that's where my project begins.
Ok, water resistant is ok, just something that will make my car tough enough to handle what I do.

I've searched around, just found Car seat covers, mats... usual stuff.
I was thinking of ridding the car of carpeting and using rhinolining type stuff for the floor but the electronics are my biggest concern but I won't be fording any rivers. I definitely want to waterproof my trunk since I throw my wetsuit, booties/gear in there after a long surf session so maybe rhino lining would be good there.
I looked at their site and they do color matching so all I would need to know is, how can i safely insulate my tail lights/ rear speakers/ center brake and any other wiring that could be exposed to moisture without inhibiting the ability to change bulbs/etc.

best way is to live in a bubble....or dump 50k into the car by letting some one like WCC do some ghetto crap like that.....not trying to be a jerk or anything but there really isn't anyway to prevent 100% of anything from happening to your car....water related or not....

you can get some of that carpet cover stuff, but its basically plastic wrap for your car for the carpets. The vinyle i would just spray that water proof stuff they use for shoes or someting like it. It does work, but it does fade over time. Maybe you can put some kind of rubber or plastic lining under the carpet and under the all the wiring in your car. Then just put the carpet over it.

he beat me to the elemnt thing...but that rhino stuff wouldn't work at all it'd be like someone spoilling milkshakes made with cement in your car....not that I've tried it or anything....i haven't...
I would suggest looking into at least upgrading if possible the door and crevice weatehrstripping...that I think is possible at least....

the rhino might work, I've seen some where they can control how rought the surface is. My concern is that if you water proof the trunk, you may get some mold or something. Why not just put a plastic tub in there and screw it down to piece of carboard above your spare tire? cheap and easy
I would really look into the element though, it's all ready water resistant.

Ahh...
not interested in weather stripping but I'm usally more active in winter.. road biking is better when you're not sweating as much (stupid rain + mud) and the waves along the coast are larger which of course means, wet me and gear. I would've gotten an element but could not afford one and now I'm glad I couldn't.
