i agree...noteworthy idea, though a big brake kit and some suspension work would make them look much better.....also a widebody kit and a diff color would really make them stand out...not really feelin the rivets, but i do understand the need for them
Crayons taste like purple...

my Q is about the temps....if they are for normal driving...won't the brake heat warp them? or can tempering actually keep them from doing so even though its possible to get up to what 500*f? either warp or melting is my concern....
if they're made out of lexan I'm sure they're heat tempered and THICK, so also rest assured if some trys too shoot your brakes, your rims are bullet proof. Second, those would be a BITCH to clean brake dust off of
edit: plus i'm sure they'd get scratched to sh*t when rocks fly up and such.

well id hope if its bulletproof it will be able to be made to resist chips and scratches from a rock doing like 50mph or even 150. as for the cleaning, probably can put a coat on the inside and it will not stick or maybe just wash off stickin a hose back there.
They make his brakes look so small
I'm sure you can get some kind of scratch resistant coating on them or something to that effect, or layer a stronger more scratch resistant material on top of the actually structual material.
