eBay used to have a dual exhaust axelback for around $250.
If you really want a dual exhaust, I suggest you have a shop create a dummy pipe to make it look like you have a dual exhaust. That way you don't lose any power.
Only dual exhaust that would come close to looking good on a civic is one with 2 small diameter mufflers like 2 RS*R style mufflers, not 2 fart cans.

dont go duals....i hate cars with duals who dont have them stock. i also hate when people convert 2 exhausts into 1, like S2k's and 350Z's and G35's.... WTF...why replace such nice sounding exhausts with a single one?

that car belongs to the owner of Legend Motorsport....Oz I believe is his name. That car is the ONLY civic on this earth that can use dual exhaust. It also has a one off custom turbo set-up, RSX front and rear 5 lug conversion, the only set of Blitz wheels on a civic...and lots of other amazing stuff. please....PLEASE do not put dual exhaust on your civic. If your boosting....just increase the size of the piping....dual exhaust will not help whatsoever. He did that purely for show...and was on the cover of IT. I repeat.....do NOT put dual exhaust on your civic. thank you for your time.
cliff notes: dual exhaust is rice...unless you are the owner of the aforementioned civic....that is the only exception.

I used to think duals were ricey, but now I figure its just one more mod for a car, a matter of personal choice. Its not quite altezza/rim LED rice, I might call it just a bit unattractive.
Its a Civic, even if you lose power (and you might not even lose that much) this car was obviously never meant to be a race car, so any gains, really, aren't going to be a big deal. You're not driving a purpose-built track vehicle.
If you think it looks nice, go for it.

. FOR ****S SAKE, attempting to take an economy car and "make it fast" is "RICE!!" Come off your high horse and let the guy do what he wants with HIS money and HIS car. This Just In..... Spotted a 92-95 green hatchback with a 4 pipe exhaust, Altezzas and just plain rice yesterday afternoon. Even my sister who was with me spotted the exhaust and was Laughing
Don't do the duals, the only dual exhaust I Have is on my 57 chevy

Yes, the loss of back pressure on a Naturally Aspirated car is not good for power figures. Cars with FI retain their backpressure naturally because of the nature of their setup.
Another thing to think about is when you drive, your exhaust pipes heat up, and cool down regularly. This causes condensation (moisture) to form inside your pipe work. Regularly, this gets evaporated by the heat generated from your exhaust. When you convert a single exhaust into a double, these cars don't have the necessary exhaust levels to evaporate the condensation. Now you get rusty pipes that will eat themselves from the inside out. I've seen this happen on more than one occasion.
