club-focus.net
I was just surfing the web and got curious, so I visited club-focus.net to see if they talk ish about civics the way people in this forum talk ish about focus (me included)
To my great suprise, they really impressed me. I looked at several threads with "civic" in the title thinking I would see some ish talking, but instead there were pictures of fixed up civics (in a focus forum?) The focus peeps were giving that civic props. I read about 5 different threads that said "civic" and none had anything bad to say about civic.
Got me thinking, they are obviously proud of their cars, just as we are. Are they just more mature than this forum? See for yourself. www.club-focus.net It will change the way you think about the people who drive Ford Focus. That is how a great forum should be, with no flaming.
I know I will not be talking ish about the focus (again).
just some food for though.

My best friend has a focus and is in a focus club. Ive hung out with theses guys and they are all really cool. A couple of them have even helped me mod my car. There is another site called Focal Jet and I havent seen a whole lot of civic bashing there either.
We actually have a Focus owner as a member of this site, and he's also a member of club-focus.net. I think his name is Raitchison. Very cool, knowledgeable guy. Wish all our members can be as open-minded as he is...

I don't agree with the flaming. Personally i don't like the focus, and neither does my sister (who owns one by the way). But talking trash about it and not liking it are two different things. I am glad that the focus owners are more mature. Too much flaming on this site, like our cars have anything that can compete right now.

Okay... my opinion on this is that Civics are meant to be admired more than the Focus. Thus making the Civic the bigger boy over the Focus. Naturally... we're going to see how the Focus really compares to the car, and for some people if it can't live up to the quality near the Civic, the immature people can easily bash it because they feel better. It's just like us Civic owners who appreciate the RSX Type S... or Type R. The thing is... those owners COULD do the same to the Civic what the members here say about the Focus. (I'm guessing they don't. There's no need to.) When the Focus gets granted a higher rating over the Civic by some reviewer... a human... a driver... just like the rest of us (well, almost the rest of us), the immaturity of those who own the better car, prove that their cars by themselves end up being more maturer than the owners who drive them. I mean, it's all fun and jokes sometimes but at least you know who is gonna flame at others in these forums...
:: drops 2 bronze ones ::
I dont have anything against the focus actually I even admire the coupe for being a great rally car. I know those are focus on steroid. And they are not the same focus they sell here in america market. And I notice to this forum the only one who always started the flame around here don't even own a 7thgeneration civic if you know what I mean and you know who they are Later dude

To answer a few of the questions.
Club-Focus.net has been around since early December 2000. There used to be a Club-Focus.com that one started in late 1999 or early 2000 but died out by the third quarter of 2000.
Focaljet came on the scene in early 2000 and quickly overtook Club-Focus.com in terms of membership. After Club-Focus.com died out a small group of people created Club-Focus.net to be an alternative for Focaljet.
In the early days of Club-Focus.net there were actually more non-Focus owners than Focus owners, to this day the owner of the site doesn't own a Focus. There are lots of different cars represented there and you be hard pressed to find examples of car-make bashing there.
Focaljet is now HUGE >5500 members and there are quite a few non Focus owners and ex-Focus owners there as well.
The two sites are pretty different, Focaljet is more businesslike with more (a lot more) rules while Club-Focus.net is much more loose with almost no rules.
Obviosly I am on both of them, in fact I am a moderator on both. You can see links to both in my sig below.
