Drove the 2006 Si... And Corvette, SSR and some other goodies...

I just wanted to say that I drove the 2006 Si and it was friggin' sweet! Interior is nice especially the navigation, and the dash is nice and nice light that tells you that you should shift soon. I love the way how it handles virtually no understeer! How do I know? Because I drove it on a closed circuit track. Very very nice car. I drove the RSX Type S before but really, in terms of performance, I'd choose the Si over the Type S. The last Civic Live tour is at Washington DC. Check it out at http://www.eshots.com/civiclive/ for more info. Plus I also test drove there a 6-speed Accord V6, Ridgeline, '06 Civic Coupe (EX) and '06 Civic Sedan (EX). But I gotta say, the Civic Si is a must buy! Oh yeah, I was also in a car cruise with a lot of cars, being escorted by the police. I felt important fer one hour. Hahah. Plus free Black Eyed Peas concert! w00t !

Also I went to Autoshow in Motion, there I drove a C6 Corvette (yes I pushed it!), H2 (off road), H3, Cobalt SS Supercharged, GTO, Solstice (nice car!), Civic Si (7th gen Civic), Saab 9-2x, BMW 530 (sweet sweet car powerful and nice handling), Lexus ES330 (love the touch screen navigation/maintainance thing-a-ma-jig), SSR (best pickup I've ever driven, fast and powerful, handles like a car, and other cars that I ferget to mention. Oh well. This weekend was a blast fer me...!

Conclusion: Fun cars are Corvette, SSR, GTO, and 2006 Civic Si!!!

Over xmas holidays last year, got to test drive the Ford GT. that was fun. (sister works at Ford HQ(yet the family has 4 honda's and only 3 ford products).
The guy with me on the track got mad that I wouldn't push it. I dunno, its a what over $100,000 car? I do computers, but I do not make enough to cover the car if I **** it up. lol

The numbers are closer then you think. The original 210hp rating given to the Type S was using the old to the crank standards. The new rating on the SI uses the new SAE method of ranking cars. This is to the crank power with the power steering and other components of the car plugged in. This lowers the hp rating on cars compared to the old method.

Local salesman said the Si should be in showrooms by first of the year. He went to a Honda salesman convention in Atlanta and he drive one and it is a woo-hoo car.

The more realistic number of the Type-S is 201 hp.

I got to do the AutoShow in motion last weekend and it was awesome. They didn't have an 6-Speed accord for st. louis or an si or civic for that matter. But the GTO and the C6 was enough for me. Plus that cobalt had tons of torque to my surprise.

Best part is the auto show in motion is completely free.

and the cars depend on what the dealers supply and they do have the compition there..(like mercedes, BMW, Honda, Acura, Toyota, and others..

The Si sounded like there was an aftermarket exhaust. Especially when the VTEC kicks in. Very nice exhaust note, not ricey, not loud. But a subtle sound.
