The new Civic hatchback
My sister owns a pretty hooked up SI coupe 2000. I think the coupe is much better than the new SI #1.. because it looks like a minivan(the New SI). #2... The stick is placed in a video game type of position... #3 IT DOESNT HAVE THE COOL ELECTRON BLUE COLOR...

On top of that, the new hatch is pregnant...
I liked the Electron Blue on the Prelude... THAT was kew. (In fact, that's the color I test drove.) Kinda reminds me of that red Civic commercial with the guy with hotsauce. Drop a smurf onto a Prelude and bam... electron blue pearl.
the new hatch looks aiight.....i wouldnt mind having one, but i'd rather keep my coupe like everyone else.....i read in super street that where the stick is located its better to drive because it's closer to the steering wheel....
I've had one of the new Si's on order since October. And even I'll admit....it's looks aren't up to par. But on a good note, I'm sure there will be all sorts of aftermarket goodies to help improve its styling.....Number one on my list is eyelids for those damn huge headlights.
<< Electron Blue is played out.
I just dont want it cuz of low redline and ITS HEAVIER THAN EVEN A 2k1 EX! >>
Is that true? I know the other SI's have a high redline but this one doesn't? How can they do that to the SI?
<< this Si runs to 6800. More torque and more displacement means it dosnt have to rev as high to make its power. But we see the results
You think it'll be true. I mean saying and doing are 2 different things. Whats your opinion. I personally think it wont be the same.
Thats why Feb 28th ill be test driving it. Personally, I think my Si will be able to walk all over these new ones. Specially once I put some aftermarket into mine. I mean if you gut the interior, and give that hatch a lip kit it'd be better,(cuz weight and looks
), but i still love reving to 8100...once you past 7k that VTEC throws you back in the seat
), but i still love reving to 8100...once you past 7k that VTEC throws you back in the seat There cars are going to an even more econemy car that there taking hp and torque out of there engines.
My 96 Civic DX had more ***** than this car ever will and it was stock. I mean I spun the tire 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear and you could feel the torque. Also the response was great, I mean you hit the gas and instantly accellerated. This car I don't know man its not the same. You hit the gas, an hour later it finally gets going feels like I'm driving an automatic. Oh well.
If I had the money, id get a 99-00 Hatch, throw a kit (prob OEM) on it, and swap the B16B in there...have a real damn Civic Type R that'll look sweet and run sweet.
Honda needs to get its damn act together already.

hahahaha so thats good i think its great that honda is moving away from all the high reving stuff
i want more power at the lower end.....i hate getting passed by other cars and now it seems i have a better chance at getting back at people
very good job on the new si/sir!!!!

As I said earlier.....a few styling changes will be needed on the Si.....but look at the final result....this looks SWEET!!!!

If you Supercharged the new I-Vtec engine, and did the same to the 2000 Si...you'd notice a significant power gain on the 2002 in comparison to the 2000. It won't take much to increase this engines power output.
<< yea but that cars got the "*****" to go with its "d!ck"....even with that kit the New Si is still a heavy b!tch. >>
True, but at least a swap is DEFINITELY possable with the new SI, you just gotta put up with the "looks"

We have yet to see that. I-Vtec isnt going to make that big a difference.
