The Evolve S60 is pure sex in person. I wish they kept the polished HRE wheels on there though. The S40 is a little small tho. Lacks in high-end power. The upper dash is weird, because there are no lines to it. It looks like a fjckin never-ending desert. The T5 is slightly better . . . simply becuase of the center dash. Its a straight-up trip to look at since there is "no back" to it.

I LOVE the S40.I've always been a fan of Volvo. Except. You can't get the tubro'd version for low 20's. It starts at 26k, I think, and that is with no options and manual. (I don't know about you, but I don't want a manual family car.) Go for it.
I am choosing between the S40 awd or the new 3-series BMW. I know most will vote for the BMW, but it would be the 325 with like no options, no awd, the base model. So, I'm not sure...I've got a few months before I make my decision though.
Good luck and keep us updated.

you can't go wrong with a volvo. i currently have a s40 1.9T, it's my 2nd volvo, and i haven't had any problems with it. my last volvo had almost 175,000 miles on it when i sold it and it was still going like a champ with no problems. i don't know where you live but i know around here (delaware) it's hard to find even a base model s40 for less than 26k. or at least it was when i was looking into trading in the 02 for a new one.

I would rather drive something based on the WRX than something based on a Focus and Mazda 3.
That reminds me of the cars on evolvecars.com
I dunno if thats the new volvo or not cuz they sell body kits to make an s40 or s60 look like that...
Here is a car from evolvecars.com

wow!....i can't believe no one sigested an accord. it's a family car. hybreed is 300 hp and get almost 40mpg. plus, it's a honda. oh, i saw a comment about saab 9-3, 05 is the same as 06, which is also the same as 04, 03, 02, and 01. i love saabs, but you'd better love taking it to the shop. not a non-tech friendly car. same with volvo. there is a s-40 for sale at my local dealership, all kitted, lots of engine mods, and a 75 shot of NOS. it has been there for over a year! the mark-up on it is only like $2000. i think no one has bought it because once you touch the engine, the warrenty becomes nill and void...get a honda!
