I don't like what BMW is doing with their body styles. They are losing all of their character. They dont have any nice lines any more - they are simply way too plain. Too bad, because they used to be pretty damn sweet cars.

lol what do u mean they are losing all their character? they get nicer lines with each coming generation. its just that instead of having boxy bodys, they have more curves now. but i can see where your coming from. the e36 and e46 m3's look so much better.

Ooh, looks like a coupe, very nice. Can't imagine a V8 in one of those things, those engines always just struck me as so heavy, though I'm sure if BMW is making it the car will maintain it's grace. Something w. the history of handling savvy of the M3 though just seems like a V8 would be excessive, esp. compared to the first gen M3, that was so tiny with its wee lil engine.

The E46 is still clearly the best. Don't like the new 3 series. Although the new M5 looks pretty nice. Before it was M3>M5 now its M5>M3

Finally an answer to the Audi V8.... I'm kind of assuming the initial ppl that buy this car wouldnt mind the gas... the E46 already has the "gas guzzler" tax on it, should be the same for this 1.

the M3 throughout its whole life, until now, has had a certain shape and look common to the 4 and 2 door models. The car was updated throughout the generations but they never CHANGED the body styling much, just modernized it.

This time they CHANGED it, and it looks like ***. bmw

they always change the body styling. look at the change from e30 to e36. then look at it from e36 to e46. big differences. this is just another one of those bangle designs that will probably never grow on me, though.

I think the general shape of the M3 hasnt changed too much. just right.
