THEREFORE, SEPTEMBER 1st HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT UP THEIR BUT"
DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THESE TWO NATIONS SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF
GASOLINE THAT DAY.

It's been calculated that this does not work and will not work, many people don't have the internet, and fewwer even come here to read this.

Secondly, you're hitting the oil companies, well they are making money, THAT'S THE WRONG PEOPLE. Incase you didn't notice they are buying oil at over $70 a barrel, they can't help it that much, the people you have to go after are the oil producing nations, this kind of idea is just going to screw our own economy up further than it is.

Third, if you where going to impact an oil company, it is much more effective to just ban a few companies here and there for weeks, say like don't buy from Exxon for week, they will then be forced to drop their prices, then everyone will buy from them and the other companies will have to drop further to compete with Exxon.

The petroleum industry is one that is not subject to traditional supply and demand law.

OPEC controls supply. Talk to them, not Mobil, Exxon, etc.

What? d00d, you know that gas has been on the rise partially because of China using more gas, they have a growing middle class that is consuming more fuel. Hance the oil companies are now selling to China, hence causing a small shortage in America, because OPEC and the refineries here can not keep up with the demand, hence the cost goes up... It's still a supply and demand, just more complicated than normal.

On the second part, I agree, but even if OPEC starts pumping more oil out, nobody can refine it.

It does not work! We do the whole do not buy gas days here in cali! All that happens is they have a bad day. Eventually you will need to gas up and get oil. The only way it will work is if every one went and bought a bunch of electric cars. But electric sucks!

I am a 1/4 under full, so i wont buy gas on that day anyway. I agree that it wont help to fight the gluttons at all. The only way to do that is direct.

this is fuking retarded! Learn something about economics! This has never worked and never will! I say ban SUVs and Trunks for those people who dont use them as work vehicles and use them instead to put dubs on and go shopping with
