Rep Power: 270 I liked the car when I saw the first pics back in Feb. and I'm digging it even more now...but the big con will be mods...
Yes, 197 hp sounds nice, but no damn room in there, plus it weights almost 3k lbs. and someone else mentioned no coliovers?? wth??
Would be interesting to put the Si and the Type S against each other on the track, we might be a little more than surprised w/ the results.

Rep Power: 0 Man the 8th gen is ugly. Take time to grow? 3 series and 5 series are still ugly, some things just stay nasty looking. The interior is horrendous, all the different lights, cheap plastic hues... ugh. They should've used the Euro Civic interior which looks pretty classy.
They've borked the dimensions so much, shortening the hood space without even dramatically increasing interior volume. What's the point? Windshield would look better shorter, front side glass tucked in behind the engine firewall.
If it only was something like this (chopped to shorten width a tad, increase hood area and shorten front side glass, change grille) it'd look awesome:

Rep Power: 0 ^^^ sad as it is, the tradition of hatches doesn't work for US market. (i.e. 02-05 si hatch). in business, money is thicker than tradition these days. LOL.

Rep Power: 270 Great article CTV!
Thank God they are offering that red for the Si cause that other one doesn't go with it imo.
lol...this one made it to mine
By the way, the part I like the most about that article:
priced at "less than $20,000"
With all those extras and at that price, it wouldn't make sense to buy a type S anymore.

Rep Power: 297 cubanmike26, so the SI is going to be less than $20,000? I called my Honda dealer today about trading my 2002 in on a black SI, he said the 4 dr will be available in 2 weeks, and the coupes will come in October.

Remember, with Honda's you are buying an engine first and a car second. But as long as the car gets 5 star crash ratings that is good too.

i think it's time to save up...then again, there probably won't be any gas cars in a few years.

That weird brownish red is strating to grow on me.
Do you think the car looks better with the body cladding like on the concept and the 18s, or it looks better stock and just lowered. It's weird I'm starting to feel that the body cladding is a little to tecno frizzle.

I do think it needs a drop. A lip kit would definately make it look greater and I'm sure 18"s would be raw, but why the extra weight at the wheel when it looks fine with 17's you feel me?
I want to see one so bad...
Any word on the brembos? I haven't seen them on any of the Honda pics.

Rep Power: 297 I'm pretty sure we won't see Brembo's on there. 19's would look sick on these with a deep polished lip. The pic of the black one on honda.com PWNS ALL! I have to take my car to Honda to have it appraised. My brother said they couldn't get the coupe in just yet but will be here in October, the 4 doors will be available in 2 weeks.

The 17s look good enough your right.
Do you think the regular skirt kit is good, the si fender cladding thing we saw on the concept or naked.
