I read somewhere that they were supposed to have a new color this year. I think it is called monte carlo blue pearl. I t is on the honda australia web site here is the link.

yeah ... hp is sae standard ... so really, it's getting like a 8hp or so kick.

the new horsepower ratings is why it is 237hp.

also, monte carlo blue is NOT a USDM color, it's only available in other countries.

the car will really not look any different on the outside, though the wheels may be slightly different. in other words, very minor changes if any.

the NEW color is Laguna Blue Pearl

monte carlo blue has been available for other countries for some time. that is not the color they are getting in the US this year. the new color here is Laguna Blue Pearl.

Do they expect 1/4 miles times to be similar to the AP1 or AP2? Do you know the expected curb weight either?

it will be similar to the blue available for the NSX.

the 2006 is still an ap2. All S2000's are almost identical when it comes to 1/4 mile

All the people who plan to buy the car and not autocross/race it (read: vast majority) and all the people who want to drive the car in any season but summer. I think RWD still carries a stigma with at least a few people, so I imagine that traction control is welcome, not everyone has the driving capacities to control the rear-end of an S2000.
