Rep Power: 0 somebody told me it goes by pressure in the tank, and temperature outside could cause it to come on with either 4 gallons left, or like 1/4 gallon left. but i think they're wrong. mine usually comes on with about 2 gallons left, so i don't go anywhere before going to the pump.

Rep Power: 0 eventhough you still have 50 miles to go when the gas light is on, i wouldn't recommend it. you wouldn't have that much gas there to last 20 miles. although you can still run another 30 with the fumes, but it would really hurt your car.

Rep Power: 293 I have an EX and I've allowed my tank to get almost empty, and I have yet to see that warning light. maybe I'm just paranoid from owning a Ford last time, always fill it up before it's all the way down to the E

Rep Power: 0 The last time I filled it up the light was on, I knew there was still enought to get to the gas station so I wasn't worried. What sucked was that both my credit card and my debit card were'n working so I had to let them copy down every thing on my license and pay them within 24 hrs or they would call cops on me. I was so embarassed I felt like such an a$$. I did a huge burnout when I left.

Rep Power: 0 Im pretty sure you've got 2 gallons left when the light comes on, so you're good for at least 50 miles, just don't wanna push it, end up runnin out of gas on a major street and have to run back home and use lawnmower gas to drive to the nearest gas station (what, who me? umm....maybe ) dont worry, it was with my pos sundance, it was dying anyway
