there were some problems with the 2001 model, which is to be expected from the first year of a new generation. many of these problems were fixed in the 2002 model. i havent had any problems with my 2002 ex coupe
I've had no problems with my EX coupe, except for some rattles which I fixed myself. But some common stuff other people on this site have complained about, that you should keep an eye out for:
- inaccurate gas gauge
- rough idling / idle RPM's too low
- minor paint defects on the rear bumper
- front seat rocks slightly from loose attachment to tracks
- front suspension sounds over bumps
But like I said, I've had my car for nearly a year now, and it's been problem-free.
With over 3000 members on this site, a few members are bound to have some problems with their cars... and some of these problems are due to mods that they've made. But I think overall, most people had not had any problems with theirs.

there are very few differences between the 2k1 and 2k2, a few small cosmetic changes to the interior, such as the area where the fog light switch goes is changed, and there were some problems fixed, such as the second gear issue, and the rocking drivers seat
Oh man, that was bad. My car kept coming out of second into Neutral for some reason. Oh well, it got fixed. Problems with new models should be expected due to the fact they are new models. I think they also changed the position of the cub holders in the front which is still related to the console.
<< my front suspension makes a terrible grinding noise over seepd bumbs...can i get that fixed under warranty? >>
Well, ask the dealer... is your suspension modified?
If so, then I can just save you time and answer NO for you now.
