Used 350z or 06 Civic Si?
just wondering what everyones opinion was.
if u were looking into getting a different car, what would u choose between the 2006 civic si or a used 350z?
i'm lookin to purchase a new car towards x-mas time, and i've had my mind set on a used 350z, but reading all this stuff on the new civic makes me wonder.
Nissan vs Honda...
287 hp vs 200 hp...
so far i'm still stickin with the Z, but the Si looks like its gonna be kick ***.
what would u do??

i would prolly go with the z cuz it is a dream car for me as well and it's a 6, and in a different class then a civic, cuz in the end it may be fasterthan the old one.....but it's still a civic
depends what year, you could get the 2003 Z with about 40k miles for about the same price as a brand spanking new civic, but then you have to know that 03 models had problems such as differential, gearbox and suspension problems, so then you probably think 04 shouldnt be much pricier... wrong it's about a 6 grand difference, i would go with civic because i already own one and i trust their reliability as far as nissan i dont like the lack of rear seats and plasticky interior

SI cause its front wheel drive. have you thought about looking for a 300 twin turbo? it might be a little older but it has alot of bang for the buck. but id hit the SI cause i personally think the z is a little chubby in the back. but the new si looks fat all around. rough choice man.
That is hard choice, but i would go with z, mostly because i do not like the look of the new si, big windshield effect. It also is rear wheel drive, and has tons of potential, turbocharging and supercharging that is.

Id honestly take a G35C over the 350 though. Its not a convertible but soo much sexier IMO, aside from the fact that they got rid of the Brembro's.
my dad's looking at moving down to a 350Z, since he wants a convertible....but he says it'll be an Auto
god he's such an old man.

and you could always buy a '04 g35 cause those had brembos.
I sure wish my car was newer

I'd go for the 350Z as long as it's not the first year. They had alignment/camber problems that caused the tires to wear our irregularly and prematurely.
This is an apples to oranges comparison, but I'd still go with the 350Z. More power, more style, etc. Only thing holding me back would be insurance/gas.
Like someone above mentioned, the 300ZX is a great car, too. I'd love to own one, but I'd be weary of a twin-turbo model considering the newest one you could get here is still over a decade old.
Oh, and the new Si looks like ***.

with that much money i would go ahead and get me an s15...or just a regular 2001 ITR and turbo it...but realistically go with the Z as long as its not first gen like it was said before...also the g35's the brembo brakes were an option on a specific package

yeah its hard to compare because there both completely different class of cars. I say you should take a look at the s2000 as well its a little closer comparison. But for the two you stated i would take the 350z.

Depends, do you want a used car with permanent camber problems? Do you want to change the cars tires every 10k miles?
03 and some 04s 350z have been known to have this problem. If you get a Z, get an 05, nothing less. If you can't afford it, either wait, or buy the 06 civic.
