kicking some VW @$$

i don't care if you belive me or not, but on the way home from work, some fruity in his new VW bug decides to ride my **** all for like a mile. so i slow to a crawl of 30 mph and he tryes to zoom past me. when he pulls over, i floor it and smoke him up a slight hill before my exit. it was the funniest thing to see him and his little boyfriend pull up next to me as i get off and they kept going. i don't think he knew he was supposed to try or something. either that, or his car sucks.

Kicken some VW ***, eh? I got a story.

The VW Bugs with turbos on them (check out how the spoiler moves at freeway speeds) could be fast.

At any rate, I raced a Jetta for like 20 miles at night heading north on 101 towards Santa Rosa coming off the San Rafel bridge at like 7pm. It was so fun... best race I ever had... looked like a car chase on the freeway cuz there was a considerate amount of cars on the freeway and like two out of 6 lanes were open: the carpool lane, and the second lane to the right... I chose the carpool and burned him. He came back after 5 minutes (the fool) and it lasted for so long, me chasing him, him mostly trying to keep up with me as I'm still in 4th gear going switchin lanes like a **** cuttin hella cars off. On a long 2-lane straight when he was a car length ahead, I was doin about 105 in 4th gear and I couldn't catch up. Once I hit 5th, it was over. I passed him and got in front of him and threw on my hazzard lights and left him... afterwards he was still goin fast for some reason like he could beat me or somethin... perhaps he was angry and cuz he had all his friends in the backseat.

this wasn't the new "turbo" bug though. like a 1999 of 2000. and if you've seen the VW commercial for their so called turbo, all they did was put a third intake valve on each cylinder. i don't think there's an actual turbocharger attached. i seriously doubt i would beat one of the brand new ones.

Well Belle, the one u prolly raced was the one with 115 hp. The 150hp 1.8L would leave u in the dust and the Turbo S, let's just say to not even try with that one. Otherwise it's good you showed him what Civics are made of.

I'd go up against it anyways! It would be fun to see that lil' "cute" thing go. Horsepower ain't everything, it's just acceleration. Got #s for torque?

All newer VW's have a 5 valve per cyliner design, and yes, the turbo's actually are turbo, probably just not a lot of boost really...

not to be a smart ***, i honestly dont know, but why did you/he throw on his hazzard lights?

for those of you that looked down on the Turbo S Beetle, don't get too excited yet

the Turbo S has 0-60 in 6.4 sec stock, with 6-speed manual and short torque band, it's a pretty quick car

personally I hate the look of the beetle, but engine-wise I absolutely love the 1.8 T

putting the hazards on is the signal/taunt that you won the race.
