S2000 videos
Here is a video run starting from about 10mph to 110mph. The shifts here did not quite feel as fast as I normally am, but they were still fairly good shifts. FWIW, and modesty aside, I'm told I'm a very fast shifter. This is part of what it takes to bang out a 13 second 1/4 mile stock. If you're not shifting fast, then you're losing precious tenths of a second.
Obviously this video also shows what the acceleration with 4.57 gears is like. This is also in 80 degree weather, humid, and the top down.

Here is a video of me launching. I launched at about 6000rpm. Again, 80 degrees, humid, and the tires were probably quite warm at this point. This was a nearly perfect launch. It was not perfect, because it didn't "feel" perfect to me. (having launched S2000's well over 1000 times if not more, I can feel when I get a great launch). However, it was nearly perfect because of these things:
A. Upon dumping the clutch, I did not have to feather the gas. I was able to keep it floored.
B. The rpms stay above 6000rpm the entire time.
C. The length of wheelspin was pretty good.
D. The moment that the tires do stop spinning and hook up, the rpms are at about 6500rpms.

Sweet. I like S2000's but not enough room for me...I'm not fat or anything, like 6'2 215 and my legs were together..that vid just made me think about that.
The engine sounds super nice. What all mods have you done to the car?

Is it just me, or does it seem like your threads have lead more than a handful of people towards buying an S2000? It seems like everyday someone is trading in their car for one, or starting a thread about them. I think you were planted on this website for marketing purposes....

4.57 gears.... yikes... I bet that eats the gas. I have 4.10 LSD on my truck and it flies comared to the 3.55 we used to have. What was the stock S2000 gearing?
