I took my car to the dealer about the throttle cable

Yestday I took my ride to the shop to get my throttle put back to where it is supposed to be and they tightened it all the way and said it was fixed. I don't know what to do. THey said the cable is stretched out from gassing to hard. Also my car got keyed yesterday at school. F*$cking ******. Does anyone know how much to get a door repainted? Once I find the person I'll worry about the rest later. YOu don't mess with People's cars and that's that!

To remove, strip, and repaint your door, should cost you about 300 - 350 I would think !!
That sucks man, sorry to hear about that !!

And did the dealership say anything about the throttle cable voiding your warranty or anything...??

Voiceofid,

How big is the dent, because I noticed yesterday that someone with an SUV (i'm guessing) must have opened their door into my D/S front fender. The dent isn't too big but, it is noticeable, and it's driving me crazy! The paint was scratched, too... Sorry to hear about your luck KUNZ. As far as the throttle cable goes, I would be pissed at the dealership. I'm sure they could have done something.

THe dealer said if it keeps acting up they will put a new throttle cable in it. I didn't tell them I messed with it. They said it looked stretched out from racing it or driving to hard. THat's not what happened though. I did it because I loosened to much I guess before I took it in. I'll find the person who keyed it, I go to a small school. Word will get out.

Throttle cable stretching? That's far fetched. They're trying to make you feel guilty that you broke it because they surmize that it was your driving habits. They want you to drive more carefully so that there will be less for them to do. Always think in terms of the other persons perspective to see what's really going on!
