I 'd say its around $3-4000 for parts. Looks like it needs 2 new fenders, hood, headlights, intercooler, radiator, radiator mount frame, a/c condenser, intake piping and other damaged under hood parts that I might not see.
ouch, definately frame damage since its now salvaged. if it were just bumpers and fenders, it'd be a clean title.
heres the way i think of it:
-by trading in the vic, your losing value/money
-your trading in a car thats much more reliable (very important factor to some)
-its salvaged... doesnt mean the only damage is what you see
-its a "dodge" "neon", somethings bound to happen.
-more damage than just body. looks like the intercooler/radiator/complete engine bay was pushed by the collision..
theres so many possiblies, if your worried about it.. thats a sign to stay away from it. im sure as hell wouldnt feel comfortable with a salvaged srt4.
IMO, go for it if your good with automotive mechanics and really want that performance.

so i guess it isn't a good decision huh? iam getting another car regardless, i am sick of the civic, i got it listed in the local papers for $11000. it is my dad's but he said i could sell it, i found a 99 mustang gt convertible for $10000. thinking about it or an eclipse gsx or gst convertible. the civic is reliable and good on gas but really slow, doesn't respond to mods, and is not cool. i want something that i can leave fairly stock and it still be cool. if i get the stang i will probably do exhaust, intake, chip, system and leave it. any opinions on a car around 10,000?
