Rep Power: 375 all cars suffer power loss in hot and/or humid weather. and your A/C does take up some horsepower so it'll make you feel a bit slower. (unless you floor it, then it won't make a difference)

Rep Power: 322 Guys, don't forget to check the blinker fluid!!! That could lose some hp right there.
Seriously? I never knew about the AC thing...

Rep Power: 246 I thought mine was running like crap earlier today, turns out I didn't realize my low-fuel light has been on for God knows how long, I'd gone almost 500 miles on the tank of gas before I ran out today.

on current model hondas, if the ECU detects WOT, it disengages the compressor so there is no power loss. so if you race with the AC on it won't matter, since it's turned off when you floor it anyways.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah, mine always runs crappier in the summer, especially since it's the TX heat...
Since the A/C does tend to rob some of the car's power, I think I tend to lean into the gas pedal a bit more, so my mileage tends to suck in the summertime, too. Ah, well...fall will be here eventually...

Rep Power: 306 i dont think the indicator will turn off, i just think it shuts the compressor down.

Rep Power: 322 hahaha... someone didn't like my blinker fluid joke.
I was going to ask is it better to keep the ciruclating air or let the outside air come in when you've got the ac going? Does it affect the performance at all? On really hot days, I just turn on the orange little car button.

Rep Power: 0 The A/C won't turn off at WOT - the compressor clutch disengages. This causes a slight increase in perceived power at the wheels as the parasitic effect of the A/C is eliminated.
Turning the A/C off and on without waiting a few minutes in between will blow your compressor prematurely.

"turn off" isn't exactly the correct term for the WOT disengaging the compressor. but in layman's terms, they understand.

Rep Power: 375 no the only thing you could be hurting is the compressor if you turn it off and on several times like that.
if you have the pedal floored, the compressor is already disengaged so turning it off with the button while the car is floored doesn't do anything to the engine, nor does it give you any more power.
