Rep Power: 0 Yeah, nitrous would help, but you're missing part of your exhaust system. You need a performance catalytic converter. You could also get a cat-back system.. much better. As for other cheap mods, you could get a jet chip stage II. You've got enough airflow to handle that one. Does anyone know if those chips really raise HP by 10-15 or something like that?

Rep Power: 0 Heartbreakkid, it's a little more than that, too... How well and where you shift in a manual can dramatically effect your times. Every extra tenth of a second you spend between gears is a tenth of a second that you're not accellerating. Plus, if you're shifting too early, then you will wind up below the peak in the powerband when you get to the next gear, meaning you will not have as much HP behind you as you could. It's a lot more than just driving in a straight line buddy.

Rep Power: 0 Well maybe you didnt do a good launch. Lauching is very important. I have a 2k1 Canadian Si and its a stick. How I race is I floor my pad and shift right when it reaches redline. I would recommend you to get a short shifter, which makes shifting much easier and faster. Change your catback also, because universal mufflers dont help much with performance. And maybe get a chip also.

Rep Power: 0 HeartBreakKid your going to do more than that.
Custom intake ? nahh Buy a CAI
aem pulleys ---good(BTW are they working good? electricity and lights good?
dc sports header ----good
man you need more than an universal muffler, get the full catback 2.25inches
Last thing, Shift at 6500 do not hit the 7000 or you will loose power
and, since you have an EX, before jumping into the first gear to start the race, keep in mind that our vtecs have the power above 4000, if you start before that, you are wasting power, and of course, you got to learn how to dump the clutch so you don't squeel the tires too much 'cause that will waste time too!
Hope it helps!!!!!!!!

Rep Power: 0 yeah, I had a 1993 nissan 240sx with @ least 140 HP. Raced some civic si's and its always a close call. Takin into consideration that the 240sx was a tank, the driver wins the race.

Rep Power: 395 << damn...my rpm go up almost at the 7k but still cant pull him down.,.. >>
I just want to point out that what you said is kinda true and kinda not true. High rev limit just means that our engines are pushed to their maximum output. I've seen 2.0l cars with as much power as we have and a lower red line. It kinda sucks 'cause it leaves us less room for increasing performance.
