ok.. my friend has a 1997 civic... he had like a tune up or something and restocked his engine... i have a 2005 ex civic..i know mines is vtec but tahts is... which engine is betteR?.. faster?... and give me some reasons Y so i can make him feel dumb if mines is faster.. cuz hes been braggin .. something bout his block is bigger in the engine... HELP!

that is so wrong on so many reasons. find out what engine it is. do you know what kkind of engine you have? you have a d17a2. 127hp vtech. what does he have. and if you knew anything about civics and engines you whould know whats faster. but scince you don't here is how you find out. find the stamp on other guys engine. get the code. google it. it will give you a reference on the stock specs of the engine. btw if its a 1997 si your car is slower. it depends on alot. mods and drivers and transmissions too. good luck. do some research
