Intake/Strutbar??
OK,..So I have an Ebay intake(dont start with me,...I learned the hard way) and I'm getting an AEM CAI. Now, here is where my question lies(SP?) I also have a "mugen" strut bar that is "straight" and not curved like the DC ones you see alot. When I get the AEM intake, will I need to replace my strutbar with a different one so that it will fit with the intakes arch??
thanks,
~Mike D.~

you shouldn't really. just cause the strut bar is straight don't mean its bad. if you get a cai you can manuver under the strut bar. thats were its gonna be anyway. btw what kind of ebay intake? is it the cai or short ram. no sarcasm just wondering.
I think you do have to change it aem is not stupid they want you to buy all their products so they make it so only their products fit together besides the dc one is pretty cool looking

ok fine, here's your answer. NO, the AEM intake will not clear that strut bar and if it does its probably gonna rub against each other making an annoying sound. Injen short ram will clear and maybe Iceman. Neuspeed and DC Sports strut bars clear all intakes except DC with Iceman.

tried it and it dont work...my first mod was an aem cai and then a "straight" strut bar. The aem cai comes up to high and the strut bar wont bolt down cause its hitting the cai...it does not even come close...

1) No it won't fit
2) If you want a strut bar that fits, neuspeed is the best. DC sports fits, but is shitty
3) They mentioned this, but please search. Also, post in the Suspension forum for suspension questions.
PM me with any questions. I am locking this before it turns into a "please search" frenzy...
