i'm not a big fan of Mitsu's so called "Project America". But ppl in America tend to like the large cars and large engines. The 2 cars that come to mind quickly that were based on larger cars and were somewhat succesful were the Prelude (dead), and 2nd gen MR2 (also dead).
IMO... it all went downhill after the 2000+ Eclipses. The '95-'99's were the best ever, styling, ENGINE CHOICES, etc. My last car was a 98 GS-T with turbo kit and all the usual goodies.. miss that car so much. I would like to see Mitsu bring back the good ole turboed 4 bangers.

nice yea my girl has a 92 talon tsi and wants a newer car....and wants to stay in the family....she looked at them wasent too impressed and said im gettin the 98 Gs-t lol
^^^^Ha ha yea. Man the 92 talon is pretty sick IMO. I think the new clipse has potential but I still think we look better. The new gauges look pretty nice. If I am buying Mitsu its for sure a n EVO, not a clipse.

yeah but thats of a bigger 3.8 engine. how high of a redline do you think it has? i know gm 3.8 has 5200 limit. itll get crappy gas mileage too. i'll test drive it maybe. itll be expensive as all hell though. i haven't decided if its worth it yet.

2ng gen is by far the best but this is a HUGE improvement over the 100% disappointing 3rd gen eclipse.
