Acura 3.2 TL Type S
Anybody ever drove one of these? I'm thinkin about gettin one of these if my car is totalled! At first I was thinking of either a prelude or a new Accord V-6 but then I came across this! What do ya think about it?

if your car is totalled? Care to elaborate?
I have a friend with a 3.2 TL not type S, the interior is very comfy! Another friend has a modded 3.5 Max, so I have a slight idea of how fast cars in that class can be.

17 inch wheels, and the tiptronic is very good. the seats are extremly comfortable.

i got a 96 2.5 tl preminum and i can tell you that it still kicks ***.
176 hp inline 5 (underrated by honda, more like 195 hp)
124,xxx miles and it still runs like the day we bought it 6 years ago.
the 95-98 tls were the last one made in japan btw.

my brother recently bought an Acura 3.2 CL Type S. Same car but 2-door. Personally I think theres a bit too many of the TL-S on the road (especially in Toronto) The CL is a bit more unique.
Go 2-door
in terms of preformance. Incredible car. Gets great highway mileage and its really built for speed. I drove it out to new york and lets just say, with an engine that size you can have a lot of fun on the highway
accellerating is a peice of cake. I say go for the CL but you made a good choice with the series, quality cars and plenty great condition off lease ones on the market!
as far as the tranny goes, yes there *may* be a tranny problem, we all know honda can make some weak trannys. Mine was replaced at 24,000km. However to replace your tranny its going to cost you what $1000? maybe $1500? other then that as long as you buy one thats been well maintained this car will last you quite a while. If thats all you have to worry about on a car its not that big a deal, my brother did his homework on the series and its a well built car.

great great cars. like said, trannies are their only problem, and well, the fact that they're FWD, but thats about it. base model TL's were great, but the type-S is just a whole lot better.

My friend as well drives a 2003 3.2 CL Type S w/ tiptronic (lame). Finish/style the car is nice and has a decent engine in it but don't expect it to be super fast but if you have a 6 speed it will move. The Type S lost to my friends manual 99 prelude (Apex'I N1 full cat, konis/neuspeed sport, aem intake 15.2 1/4). Lost on a highway roll from 60mph, from a stop and a 20 mph roll. Other than it lacking (cuz of tiptronic) it's an awesome car he has not had one problem and it's very nice luxury coupe/sedan(tl).
